LAMINATED GLASS LIMITED WARRANTY
For a period of five (5) years from date of shipment from the factory, Lawson Ind. Inc., warrants to it’s customer only, subject to the terms and conditions of this Laminated Glass Warranty (“Warranty”), not to contain manufacturing defects resulting in edge separation that materially obstructs vision through the glass surfaces.
In the event that the LAMINATED GLASS fails to conform to the Limited Warranty as described above, Lawson must be notified in writing of such failure at the plant from which the purchase was made. Liability under this Warranty for defective LAMINATED GLASS is limited, at Lawson’s exclusive option, to replacing such LAMINATED GLASS without charge F.O.B nearest shipping point of Lawson to place of original delivery or, in the alternative, a refund of 100% of the original selling price for such LAMINATED GLASS. Lawson reserves the right to inspect any LAMINATED GLASS product which is alleged to be defective prior to its removal from the glazing systems, installation or fabrication location.
Lawson liability shall be limited solely to its responsibilities under the Warranty. In no event shall Lawson be liable to any person or entity for indirect, special, incidental or consequential damages or charges for any reason.
CONDITIONS WHICH WILL VOID THE WARRANTY
If any of the following events have occurred, Lawson will have no liability under this Warranty:
- If the Glass surfaces or panes are broken or fractured.
- If the Laminated Glass is subjected to standing water or other liquids.
- If the Laminated Glass product is damaged or altered by handling, storage, fabrication, or installation contrary to industry standards GANA Glass Association of North America, which includes these former independent association; FGMA, LSGA, and GTA: SIGMA- Sealed Insulating Glass Manufactures Association; IGMAC- Insulating Glass Manufactures Association of Canada; NAAMM- North Amerian Association of Mirror Manufacturers; and AAMA-American Architechtural Manufacturers Association or equivalent.
- If the Laminated Glass is compromised by contact with incompatible glazing lubricants, glazing soaps, incompatibb glazing gaskets, glazing sealants, incompatible cleaning fluids, moisture or building runoff, gluing or attachment applied films, direct contact with paints, adhesives, solvents or insulation, or exposure to solvent or chemical fumes.
- If the Laminated Glass was discarded or destroyed.
- If the Laminated Glass is installed in water craft, solar collectors, or commercial refrigeration products.
- If the Laminated Glass PVB Interlayer is cut with the assistance of flammable liquids, either ignited or non-ignited.
EXCEPT FOR EXPRESS WARRANTY DESCRIBED ABOVE. THERE ARE NO EXPRESS OR IMPLIED WARRANTIES AND THERE ARE NO WARRANTIES OF MERCHANT ABILITY OR FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE WITH RESPECT TO THE LAMINATED GLASS OR ANY PART OR COMPONENT THEREOF AND NO WARRANTY SHALL BE IMPLIED BY OPERATION OF LAW OR OTHERWISE.
ALUMINUM FRAME
The aluminum components of the frarre/sash members are warranted to be free of defects in materials and workmanship for a period of one year from the date of delivery by Lawson.
No variation or change from this warranty will be binding upon Lawson unless made in writing and signed by an officer of Lawson.
